Hello friends, it felt remiss to not write a short Thanks Giving note to truly thank all of you who have provided much support during a very transitional time for me. I so appreciate all of the words of inspiration, pledges, and just general camaraderie.
I also wanted to send love out there to so many who feel more sadness than joy during the holiday season. It’s easy to gloss over this in our rush to merriment, but of course grief does not take a vacation. And even our most loved traditions can sting when loved ones are missing. I will certainly try to balance this tension of opposites myself and appreciate all the little delights while also honoring the loss.
And on that note, yes, I did indeed make some of my father’s oyster stew this week and will raise a glass today to those present in body but also spirit. And I also raise a glass to you and yours.
Happy Thanks Giving! Cheers, Sarah (and Jaco the dog)
So true Sarah-let’s always remember and give thanks to the ones we miss🥰
